Introducing: Brighton Noise Rock Trio STAFF PARTY Announce Dread EP Released 25th April 2023 Reveal Video For Pulverizing New Single ‘Ego Death’ Released 31st January 2023

Brighton noise rock trio STAFF PARTY are pleased to announce that their forthcoming debut EP Dread will be released on 25th April 2023. Pounding lead single ‘Ego Death’ is set for release on 31st January 2023—a blistering introduction to the three piece’s sound, all about learning to understand and accept yourself, coming to terms with aspects of your own ego and place in the world, and the trials and tribulations that come with it. “Many of us will search for an escape from ourselves, consciously or subconsciously,” explains guitarist/vocalist Ed Lamb, “but ultimately it’s better for your own sense of self to discard any shame you feel for unavoidable aspects of your personality, and the way you are, and accepting your role in life.”

The track comes with an impressively cinematic video shot at The Green Door Store in Brighton and directed by Ian Coulson (30 Seconds to Mars, Blink-182, Kasabian, Royal Blood) in collaboration with Park Rojanachotikul. “We gave Ian free rein with the concept,” continues Lamb, “trusting his artistic vision and eye for what was visually right for the song. He used video glitch effects such as datamoshing as a visual representation of the lyrical themes. Shot at the Green Door Store in Brighton.” Formed in Brighton in early 2020 by Ed Lamb (Guitar/Vocals), and JP Townsend (Drums), later joined by Chazz Welfare (Bass), STAFF PARTY play their own brand of finely calibrated, frenetic, and loud as hell noise rock. Expect thick walls of noisy guitar; tense, throat shredding vocals; pounding, virtuosic drums; and muscular, powerful bass.

Potentially one of Brighton’s loudest live bands—if they get their way—Staff Party’s songwriting is as much inspired by 90s/00s noise rock and post hardcore acts such as Shellac, Melvins, The Jesus Lizard, At-The-Drive-In, and Unsane, as it is by grunge and alternative rock titans Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr, and Stone Temple Pilots. The band will be revealing further music and live dates over the coming months. Debut EP Dread released 25th April 2023
