Rising Alt-Pop Songwriter PAIGE KENNEDY Announces Doubles EP Released 14th April 2023 Watch The Video For Their New Single ‘Love You From A Distance’ Released 17th January 2023 

 Fast-rising Kent-raised, London-based alt-pop songwriter PAIGE KENNEDY is delighted to announce that their new EP Doubles will be released 14th April 2023. To celebrate the news, Kennedy has revealed the official video for their storming new funk-laden single ‘Love You From A Distance’, set for release on 17th January 2023. An ode to setting healthy boundaries in personal relationships, commenting on the track Kennedy says: “Falling in love can feel suffocating at the best of times. ‘Love You From A Distance’ explores how having 24/7 access to the person you’re addicted to can leave you unsure of who you are without them. Lockdown induced cabin fever has pressure cooked all of our relationships. This is an anthem for proceeding with caution and maintaining personal space.”

Directed by Kennedy and DOP collaborator Zak Watson, the official video for the single sees Kennedy and their live band performing in a rural setting, which posed a few interesting new challenges for the shoot itself… “The weather forecast for the shoot day was thunderstorms all day, which was less than ideal for a music video with expensive gear shot entirely outside,” says Kennedy of the creative process behind the video. “We bought lots of umbrellas in case we had to come up with a different rain-checked concept on the day. Zak had a brainwave and concocted the shot with the suspended umbrella at midnight the night before the shoot. Incredibly we managed to work around the weather and spent the day dodging tractors and people walking their dogs in the fields.”

 The new track follows on from the EP’s well-received lead single ‘This Is The Girl’ which picked up radio support from Gemma Bradley at BBC Radio 1’s introducing show, Chris Hawkins and Tom Robinson at BBC 6music, and multiple spins from Abbie McCarthy at BBC introducing Kent. Coinciding with the release of the single, Kennedy will be appearing at The Grace, London on 18th January 2023 with Nell Mescal and Cathy Jain (see below for listings), after closing out 2022 supporting Chester indie-pop faves Peaness and hotly-tipped Welsh trio Adwaith.
