Letting Up Despite Great Faults Reveal Video For Latest Single ‘Corners Pressed’ Out Now

Austin,TX-based shoegaze favourites Letting Up Despite Great Faults are pleased to reveal the official video for their new single ‘Corners Pressed’, which is out now on all good digital service providers. The new single is the latest track to be taken from the band’s forthcoming new album, IV, which is mastered by Simon Scott (Slowdive) and set for release 4th March 2022. Commenting on the video and its examination of the sometimes faulty nature of our memories and perception of past events, front man Mike Lee says: “Sometimes we get things all wrong in our head. Sometimes you think one thing happened when it didn’t at all. With the help of our friend Mike Mangalindan, we directed and produced this video of us playing in our lovely friend’s house in East Austin, TX. We all do something different while the others play, to remind us how we all have our own little world in each of our heads.” On the track itself, Mike Lee says: “‘Corners Pressed’ is about how you remember your past. The same events have a way of playing out differently in the way different people remember them, and sometimes our memories have a way of carrying themselves as heavier than they really should be. Reality becomes skewed towards how we remember it, and our memories become our guide, whether they were real or not.” The forthcoming new album marks the band’s first new music after an 8-year-long hiatus, with lead single ‘Gemini’ released earlier this year, and the band recently announcing appearances at New Colossus, Seagaze Festival and SXSW Festival for 2022.
