Glasgow’s THE PLASTIC YOUTH Reveal New Single
‘No Beginning’ Released  / Single Release Show 27th May @ King Tuts, Glasgow

Glasgow indie/jangle-pop quartet THE PLASTIC YOUTH are pleased to reveal their new single ‘No Beginning’ which is released on 20th May 2022. The band will be playing a special hometown single release show on 27th May 2022 at King Tut’s in Glasgow, Scotland (tickets on sale now). Hand-plucked for success by noted producer-turned-superfan Gerry Love (formerly of Teenage Fanclub), the band’s music fuses infectious melodies, intertwining harmonies and driving instrumentation to create something truly special. This four-piece are paving the way in creating a unique sound that offers a new take on their much loved 60s predecessors.

Commenting on the track, Gerry Love said: “”No Beginning” is 138 seconds of pure pop art joy; driving rhythms, blissed-out guitars, cascading melodies and soaring harmonies. It’s all there. A bright future awaits!” After many formative years of gigging the indie circuit (performing at the likes of Sound-City, Tenement Trail, King-Tuts, and Saint Lukes), The Plastic Youth garnered early support from BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio Scotland with their first two singles, ‘Sweet Dreamer’ and ‘Comfort’.

Determined to deliver something unique and fresh on the indie music scene, The Plastic Youth have since written and recorded a new batch of songs at Riverside Studios with studio engineer, Ross Cameron, and producer, Gerry Love. With their upcoming single and launch show, the brakes are off on The Plastic Youth, who are now firmly focused on making headway and gathering momentum for an exciting gig-packed year of releases.
