THE INTERSPHERE/ ‘WHO LIKES TO DEAL WITH DEATH?’
BRAND NEW SINGLE RELEASED/ WANDERER
NEW ALBUM OUT MAY 26TH

‘Who Likes To Deal With Death?’ The Intersphere pose this question with the new single from their upcoming album Wanderer out May 26th.
Singer Christoph Hessler explains: “The song is about the suppression of thoughts about death. To even think about the loss of loved ones is a taboo subject in our society. Most people push away the horrible feeling of being uprooted and having to face a completely new reality. But for me, the topic is actually not to be understood as negative. It’s a part of life and the destination of a journey - resting in itself. I really wanted the song to have a positive vibe. Similar to how African or South American cultures celebrate a person’s life and don’t sink into silent mourning. In the chorus, the perspective shifts to enjoying every blink of our lives, recognizing the beauty in each moment and not wanting to constantly turn back the clock.” Despite the morose title, ‘Who Likes To Deal With Death?’, with its opposing rhythms between guitars and drums, is upliftingly danceable, musically uniting into an agile and lively piece of sonic joy. In this respect, it reflects the lyrical content, and once again proves how versatile THE INTERSPHERE have shown themselves throughout their career. The band also underlines the exceptional craftsmanship on their instruments in the accompanying live video.

“Musically, we are entering completely new territory with the song,” Cristoph continues. “starting with the samba-like beat, which was a random product during a rehearsal. The percussions, claps, the African-inspired guitar licks and the windswept strings are unprecedented for us in this form.”

Coming five years after their last record, Wanderer is The Intersphere at maximum musical curiosity, full of a spirit of discovery that could not better depict the ambivalence of our time.
