State Champs release new EP “Unplugged”

State champs are back! Their last release was the combo track with simple plan in 2019 - which we loved! And their latest album was living proof in 2018, so we are more than delighted to get this little nugget of joy in the form of an acoustic ep.
Fans rejoice, SC’s first acoustic ep was such an amazing hit, we have been waiting for more! 

The band always said the acoustic tracks were just for fun, and that being a punk band they never intended to perform these live, however the success of The Acoustic Things did spawn some acoustic shows, one being very special, held in a church in London co-headling with Sleeping With Sirens. 

Back to this EP, Unplugged does not disappoint. With a few new tracks and a handful of Living Proof acoustic covers, it’s a short but sweet blast of joy.
Acoustic songs really highlights Derek’s smooth and beautiful voice, which can usually be lost amongst the high tempo and “gusto” of their usual sound. Also, you pick up the lyrics a little bit more on these quieter tracks, State Champs songs are full of feeling and meaning. The heartbreak amongst these guys must be rife!
