Siblings (ex Margot) Announce Debut EP In Heaven Released 16th November 2023 South London Indie/Folk Newcomers Reveal Video For Title Track ‘In Heaven’ Released 19th October 2023

South London indie folk/rock newcomers Siblings are delighted to announce that their debut EP In Heaven was released on 16th November 2023.

Recorded between Dec 2022 and July 2023 at Cavendish Studios in London, the EP was engineered and mixed by drummer Ben Andrewes, and produced by Andrewes and the rest of Siblings.

Alongside the news, the band have revealed the official video for title track and new single ‘In Heaven’ which was released on 19th October 2023 via all good digital service providers. The video was shot by film-maker Dylan Friese-Greene who has worked with Chartreuse, Skinny Pelembe, Sans Soucis, Just Mustard and more. Watch HERE

Commenting on the track, vocalist Theo DW says: “In Heaven. ’I have dreamed of you so much you are no longer real’ said Robert Desnos (surrealist French poet). A succinct reflection on the song’s sentiment: musing on loss and lamenting the passing of time—it’s a piece of hauntology; longing for a loved one now departed. Musically referential to the likes of Carol King and Burt Bacharach the song is enigmatic, dark and romantic.”

Describing themselves first and foremost as a family, Siblings are a brand new band from South London. Formed amid the heatwaves of 2022, their brand of indie folk-rock music channels echoes of ethereal psychedelia, classic ‘70s songwriting, and transcendental spirit jazz. Vocalist and frontman Theo DW’s haunting baritone acts as a ceremonial guide, taking listeners from joyous heights to introspective depths among a bed of delicate and earthy instrumentation.

Made up of founding members Theo DW (vocals/guitar), Ben Andrewes (drums), Rob Fenner (guitar/keys) and Michael Webb (bass), the rich tapestry of Siblings’ sound extends even further at their atmospheric live shows, with Emily Izen Row on synth and backing vocals, and Matthew Willet on saxophone. Self-producing their recordings and designs, they are entirely self-sufficient. Behind closed doors they find creative refuge—a blend of familial bonds and shared obsessions producing a cult-like unity.

Most recently touring as part of the live band for Californian indie rockers Sylvie (featuring Ben Schwab ex Golden Daze/Drugdealer) on their latest UK/EU headline dates, the band have a clutch of their own live dates under their belts already, playing select London appearances alongside Stepbrother, AISTÈ, Big Wheels and more.
