Danish Doom Pop Star REBECCA LOU Announces June 2022 UK Live Dates / Celebrate Ultimate Girl Crushes On Latest Single
DREAMGRRRL’ Out Now / Second Album Heavy Metal Feelings Out Now via WAS Entertainment

Following a hugely successful headline tour in her home country, Danish doom pop star Rebecca Lou is pleased to announce a clutch of June 2022 UK live appearances including Long Division Festival and a headline show at The Grace, London on 12th June 2022. As a taster of what to expect from the shows, latest single ‘DREAMGRRRL’ is out now and available to stream on all good digital service providers following a premiere with leading Danish culture media brand SOUNDVENUE. The track is taken from Rebecca Lou’s second album Heavy Metal Feelings which was released late last year via WAS Entertainment, picking up swathes of high profile mainstream support in her native Denmark from GAFFA Magazine, P6 Radio, Spotify, and national TV channel DR2.

Commenting on the single, Rebecca Lou says: “’DREAMGRRRL’ is about my ultimate girl crush. That fascination with another human being that makes your heart pound, makes the butterflies in your stomach go crazy, and that makes you a little extra crazy when you think of this person. Being lovesick inspires me a lot in my music, both the platonic, romantic and the joy-of-life kind of love, and I’m a person who easily falls in love with everything. I love to crush and dream myself away completely hopeless and wild. It’s the sweetest ‘high’ there is.” Born on the island of Lolland in Denmark and launching her career in 2018 with her debut EP Skeletons, followed by 2019 debut album Bleed, the Copenhagen-based doom pop newcomer is on a steep upward trajectory. Pre-pandemic she was touring Europe playing shows at Spot Festival (DK), Reeperbahn (DE) and Waves Vienna (AT), and her music has been featured on multiple high profile Spotify playlists.

Previous singles ‘The Destroyer’ and ‘Bad Heart’ were released last summer, receiving UK coverage from Apple Music, BBC 6music, Kerrang! Radio, Underground England, ASBO Magazine, DSCVRD Magazine, Distorted Sound, Come Play With Me, Bring The Noise, Maximum Volume and a blanket of specialist and regional radio support across the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. The album’s lead single ‘Lovesick’ was named track of the week by major Danish radio station P3 and received heavy daytime rotation in her native country.
