Out with new single is the immense Four Year Strong, covering the Brit-Rock classic ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’ by non other than Wigan’s The Verve. In the past we’ve enjoyed FYS covers of Tal Bachmen’s ‘She’s So High’, Nirvana’s ‘In Bloom’ and Alanis Morissette’s ‘Ironic’ amongst others! ’

“We’ve always loved the song, it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Makes me think of being 12 thinking I was cool, which I was not. Everything about the song is great, the melody, the hook, the beat, and the string part. They all live rent-free in my brain. Being able to create something that feels like FYS and having great foundations to start with was very fun.”

Bringing their usual wall of sound to the track, it’s recognisable but very different. You forget how heavy this band is until they cover something that was previously so soft. 

Hoping this means a UK tour and further new coming music soon… But for now check this out:
