Birmingham Metalcore Quintet’s Debut Album Suicide In The City Released 3rd November via The Coming Strife Records (UK) / Ephyra Records (US)

Fast-rising Birmingham metalcore quintet CAULDRON are pleased to return with the video for their new single ‘I Forgot You Existed (Seattle 1)’ released on 18th October 2023

Commenting on the track, vocalist Frazer Cassling says: “This song is about underestimating an issue or problem and thinking it’s solved before it actually is, which causes it to resurface later on in worse ways. The clean vocals on this song are some of my favourites on the album, and it was definitely a new challenge trying to write and record a chorus of cleans and make them catchy whilst still Cauldron.”

The band shot the official music video with director Sam Kay who also filmed the videos for the first two singles from the band’s forthcoming album. “It was filmed on the top floor of The Litten Tree building in Coventry which is an old closed down pub,” says drummer Zak Jenkins. “The place was recommended to us by a friend—I believe there are plans to knock the building down, but for now it is being used to host DIY hardcore shows in Coventry as well as an art space.”

The single is the latest track to be taken from the band’s hotly-anticipated debut album, Suicide In The City, which was released on 3rd November 2023 through The Coming Strife Records (UK/EU) and Ephyra Records (US).

Recorded at Lower Lane Studios by producer Sam Bloor, the album was mastered by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering (Ithaca, Static Dress, Rolo Tomassi). Examining feelings of anxiety, self-worth, grief and mental health struggles, Suicide In The City is a dark record with a powerful message of hope.

Previous singles ‘Rejection Pact’ and ‘Standing In Awe Of A Monument’ were released earlier this year to a wave of excitement from alternative tastemakers Lambgoat, KNOTFEST, Brooklyn Vegan, Distorted Sound Magazine, Already Heard, Noizze, Bring The Noise and many more.
