LIOTTA SEOUL Reveal Video For Nu-Grunge Single ‘Won’t You Love Me’ Out Now

Following a run of October headline tour dates in their native Germany, Koblenz alt-rock trio LIOTTA SEOUL are pleased to reveal the video for latest single ‘Won’t You Love Me’ which is out now on all good digital service providers. The track follows on from previous single ‘Star’ and is the latest to be taken from their forthcoming new album WORSE, which will be released on 25th November 2022 via KROD Records.

‘Won’t You Love Me’ is a solid nu-grunge banger from the trio—with numerous pop culture references, and a video that explores violence and fire, the title ‘Won’t You Love Me’ is a false lead: the song’s not about unrequited love, but about not being able to cope with love itself. It’s about the inability to connect with your emotions and knowing that you’re loved even though you don’t feel loved. A dangerous mix. On the single, vocalist Sven Int-Veen says: “‘Stan’ from Eminem, the love story of Pam and Jim in ‘The Office’, the death of Uncle Ben in every ‘Spider-Man’ story…my whole life, all those relationships had a bigger impact on my emotions than my own.”

“The video was inspired by Wong-Kar Wai’s ‘Fallen Angels’, Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Too Old To Die Young’ and the Madonna Music video for ‘Do You Know What It Feels Like For A Girl?’ by Guy Ritchie.” Writing songs harking back to the glory days of ‘90s alternative rock and splicing them with the post-genre magpie approach typical of Gen Z, Liotta Seoul are dropping dynamite singles with a frequency to make modern rap acts jealous.

Crashing onto Spotify’s New Music Friday France, Rock Rotation, All New Rock, and Alternative Noise playlists and Apple’s New In Rock and Breaking Rock, the single is the latest success story in a string of streaming hits from the band, helping them to amass nearly 30k monthly listeners in just a few short months. The album and singles have so far picked up support from rock and alternative music tastemakers at KNOTFEST, VISIONS Magazine, Bring The Noise, Maximum Volume, Alt Corner, and picked up spins at BBC Stereo Underground, KINK NL, Amazing Radio, Total Rock, Hard Rock Hell Radio, with previous single ‘Star’ recently added to the New Music Playlist at Planet Rock.
