Norwich’s EAT YOUR OWN HEAD Challenge Toxic Masculinity On New Single ‘The Concrete of Moulded Men’ Released 29th March 2022

Following a premiere with Distorted Sound, Norwich alt/noise-rock band Eat Your Own Head are pleased to reveal the video for their new single ‘The Concrete of Moulded Men’ which is released 29th March 2022. The track is the latest release to be taken from their forthcoming debut album Neck-Deep In The Blyth set for release on 20th May 2022 via Drongo Records, following on from lead single ‘Bullets’ released last month.

The band will be heading out on a run of April/May 2022 UK headline tour dates, including shows with Lunch Money and My Octopus Mind, plus an appearance at Portals Presents in London, 2nd April 2022 (see below for full listings). On the new single, an intense tempo combined with tight, heavy guitars and unrelenting drums musically encompass the societal pressures that underlie growing up in a small, old-fashioned village as a young male.

Commenting on the track, vocalist Ash Woolnough said: “‘The Concrete of Moulded Men’ is a sledgehammer to the slab of toxic masculinity. When writing the track, we wanted it to be fierce, hard, and unrelenting to reflect the kind of feelings and pressures that are put on men.” “I didn’t have any friends that played music when I was growing up, and It would feel embarrassing to say no to football or something like that because I wanted to play guitar and sing. I started making up reasons and hiding it, which was obviously not the right thing to be doing. This track is basically saying don’t worry about all that nonsense”

Forthcoming debut album Neck-Deep In The Blyth was recorded by Tom Peters (Alpha Male Tea Party, Bicruious, The Hyena Kill) at Trapdoor Studios and mastered by Katie Tavini (Los Bitchos, Arlo Parks, Zuzu). Lead single ‘Bullets’ received support from a swathe of alternative new music tastemakers including Bring The Noise, The Punk Site, Maximum Volume, Soundsphere Magazine, and Progzilla with radio support to date from BBC introducing, Amazing Radio and the Artrocker show on Resonance FM. Debut album Neck-Deep In The Blyth released 20th May 2022
