Crown The King - New Music

CROWN THE KING, NEW VIDEO & EP

Ireland’s most exciting emerging pop-punk band CROWN THE KING’s debut EP ‘Groundhog Day’ is out now alongside a music video for track ‘I Miss You (But I Don’t Feel Bad)’, produced by the band’s very own guitarist Seán Hodson. Talking about the music video for the fourth and final track from the EP, Seán says, “Going into this one I really wanted to write something fast and frantic. The lyrics for the chorus came from something that Jamie had written that had been floating around for a while that I kind of took and flipped on its head, turning something that was originally sentimental into a break-up anthem!”
Singer Daniel Gannon adds, “I think a lot of people will relate to this track because a lot of us have had those people in our lives who you miss being with but you would never go back to. I suppose you miss the time but not the person, and sometimes you learn that the hard way!”

The music video for ‘I Miss You (But I Don’t Feel Bad)’ was filmed on the same day as the music videos for ‘Running On Empty’ and ‘Groundhog Day’, when the band could finally get together between lockdowns. The band went into the shoot knowing they only had seven hours to power through three music videos. On reflection of the shoot, Seán explains, “I think that’s something that we learned from starting all this during the pandemic and going in and out of lockdown, is to make the most of every minute you have together because you never know when you’ll actually be able to be in the same room as each other again!” Crown The King’s highly anticipated 4-track debut EP ‘Groundhog Day’ is out now, and the band follow it up by playing their first ever live show on 11th February at Whelan’s, Dublin to a sold out crowd.
